New Delhi: In the view of rising cases of Coronavirus across the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a Covid review meeting with Chief Ministers of all states and union territories (UTs) on Thursday.
According to reports, the meeting will take place at 4:30 pm via video conferencing.
The decision to hold the meeting comes after India reported 1,94,720 fresh Covid cases and 442 deaths in the last 24 hours. India’s active caseload has jumped to 9,55,329 which constitutes 2.65 per cent of the country’s total positive cases.
This will be PM Modi’s first interaction with Chief Ministers on Covid-19 situation after third wave, fueled by Omicron outbreak, gripped the nation.
The Prime Minister has held several rounds of discussions with CMs of states and UTs during the first and second waves of Coronavirus.
