Now, the winner of the series will be decided from the third and final Test match, starting today. If Team India beats South Africa to make it 2-0, this will be their first-ever win on South African soil.

India’s previous record at Newlands Cricket Ground

Team India has played a total of 5 matches so far at Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town, in which the team has to face defeat in three matches.  While two games resulted in a draw. So far, team India has not won a single match on this ground.  Apart from this, the way South Africa performed in the 2nd Test match, it is clear that it won’t be easy for the Indian team to defeat Proteas.

Indian team’s young bowler Mohammad Siraj has been ruled out of the third match due to injury.  In his place, Ishant Sharma or Umesh Yadav will be included in the team. In such a situation, the entire responsibility of the bowling department rests on Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami like in the previous matches.
