India vs South Africa: The last match of the three-match Test series between India and South Africa is currently being played at the Newlands Cricket Ground (NCG) in Cape Town. On day 1, team India won the toss and decided to bat first.

India, in their first innings, were reduced to just 223 runs. Captain Virat Kohli (79) and Cheteshwar Pujara (43) were the top scorers for their team. Apart from them, all other batters flopped. By the end of the first day’s play, the South African team scored 17 runs for the loss of 1 wicket.

After the flop of Indian batters, bnow the hopes of the team rest on the bowlers. Jasprit Bumrah had pulled the momentum in India’s favour by sending captain Dean Elgar to the pavilion early, but needs to take some more wickets soon on the second day.

Umesh Yadav has been included in the team in place of Mohammad Siraj. It will be interesting to see how Umesh will bowl. Apart from these two bowlers, Mohammed Shami is also expected to bowl like he did in the first match.

The weather is expected to remain clear on the second day of the match, due to which the fast bowlers will not get much help from the pitch. There was moisture on the pitch due to light rain before the match on the first day, which benefited the South African bowlers.

Team India has played a total of 5 matches so far at Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town, in which the team has to face defeat in three games. While two matches resulted in a draw. The Indian team has not won a single match on this ground so far.
